Trio of new deals signed at Joseph’s Well in Leeds

A trio of new deals have been completed at the Joseph’s Well office building in Leeds city centre.

Delta-Simons, the independent environmental consultancy firm, has taken 1,104 sq of space on the top floor of Joseph’s Well, which has undergone a major refurbishment to create high-quality and affordable office space in central Leeds.

Delta-Simons’ new Leeds office joins a network of offices in Dublin, Durham, Lincoln, London, Norwich, Nottingham, and Manchester.

The other two companies moving into Joseph’s Well are Symbol Consulting, which has taken 668 sq ft of space and Rape Crisis, which has taken 655 sq ft.

Damian Robinson, executive director of Delta-Simons, which provides environmental and workplace wellbeing advice to a host of developers, retailers and industrial manufacturers, explained: “We have relocated our Leeds office to Joseph’s Well to help with our company expansion due to sustained success over the past two years.

“Since moving into our splendid new offices, we have found the location has proved extremely convenient for our clients and staff alike, with the Leeds ring road close by and the station just a 10-minute walk away. There is also ample parking for our site vehicles.

“Our new office also has some decent storage space, which is ideal for us as an environmental consultancy.“

Rents are now £16.75 per sq ft, including all service charges, and are fixed for three years. There is currently 15,000 sq ft of quality office space available in the building in a range of suite sizes.

The transformation of the 156,000 sq ft five-storey building in Westgate, which was originally built for Leeds clothing magnate and MP Sir John Barran, was undertaken by Leeds-based property company J Pullan & Sons.

Bruce Strachan, property director of Pullan’s, commented: “These three new deals underline the continuing popularity of Joseph’s Well. Following the refurbishment, we have seen an increasing level of interest in Joseph’s Well resulting in new lettings.

“Our new tenants reflect the versatility and flexibility of space here, which is attracting a real breadth of occupiers”.

Joseph’s Well is located within Leeds city centre beside the Inner Ring Road offering easy access to the M1, M62 and M621 motorways and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. It is also within a short walk of Leeds City Railway Station, City Square and all of the main retail and leisure amenities.
