Oakapple secures second pre let

Oakapple secures second pre-let for mixed use scheme in Ilkley

LEEDS-based developer, Oakapple Group, has secured a second 9000 square foot pre-let at their Ilkley office development on Mayfield Road, bringing the amount of space let up to 67 per cent.

The news comes just a month after Oakapple announced the first letting to SmartSearch.

The letting which represents a third of the total office space, is to Ilkley-based OnePay, a specialist in alternative worker payment solutions for employers and recruitment agencies.

Oakapple Group chairman, Philip Taylor, said: “It is great to have agreed the second letting so soon after the first, and before work has started on site. We are looking forward to working closely with OnePay to support their growth and deliver them a high quality head office building by the end of the year.”

Managing Director of OnePay, Lee Hartley, said: "We are delighted to have struck a deal to secure a floor within this prestigious office building in the heart of Ilkley. The new office will help to facilitate our continued growth as a business and we look forward to taking occupation.”

The letting was negotiated by Matthew Brear of Dacres, who said: “We always expected demand to be strong for this scheme and our view has been vindicated by the agreement of two substantial pre-lets before work has started on site. We now have just the ground floor available which can be subdivided or put to a range of uses.”
